Summer Fun

Postby telehubby » Wed Jun 05, 2019 10:11 pm

Not Sure if spring has even started here yet. There was 1" of fresh snow on the rock pile yesterday. Calendar says June so I'll start a new thread.
This one is for the Bruins

Tossed a fly around on Memorial Day, water was too high and cold to entice any fish but on the Mt. Garfield trailhead road I found this beautiful spot.

The Pup is very excited it's mountain biking season. Charlie's Trail near Lovett's Inn.

Old T-bar towers at Hogback, in Marlboro, VT. These lifts last ran 32 years ago. Hogback is nice example of habitat restoration/legal clearing and glading. Would be a great place to skin after a storm, if it weren't so far south. I imagine Rob or some of you Mass. folk have been there.

7-July. B watched two of them fly into the woods! The third had already made its escape by the time she noticed. Amazing how clean it is.

Nice Bob. This is the Mansfield Ridge on Sunday, looking South, just before the Cliff Trail intersection. I took a chance on a damp early morning start up the Hell Brook trail, over the Chin, and down via the Toll Road. I was rewarded with a relatively peaceful ridge walk, unencumbered by the hordes that arrive via car or gondola on summer weekends.

Finished one summer project yesterday - restored and repurposed an old chair from Catamount in the Berkshires to some backyard seating. Now I guess I'm just waiting for snow!
