Nice! A coworker just got back from three weeks in Wales, he said it was spectacular.

Cool trip for your family. We saw the platform back in '08 when we were doing a long swing through Europe visiting friends after living in Spain for 5 months. My two favorite series to watch in Netflix have been Hinterland (set in Wales) and even better, Shetland (set, well, in Shetland). London was ok by me but my interest now is more in cycling in the countryside someplace like Wales.

Another Euro trip that I very highly recommend if you're looking for more is to fly into Madrid, do the museums and city stuff there and then visit a few Spanish towns and cities which are all very accessible from the trains out of Madrid. A favorite for me is Salamanca - probably the most beautiful Plaza Major in all Spain, lovely streets for walking, 3rd oldest University in the world, Roman stuff that includes a bridge still functioning, three cathedrals plus other churches to check out. Salamanca is 2 hours by train from Madrid and a nice weekend destination. Excellent mercado open every day (maybe not Sunday). Half way between Madrid and Salamanca on the train line is Avila, a walled city (the old part) and you can walk on the walls and check out the views. Of course there are other options too like Segovia (huge Roman aqueduct, museum), Toledo, Granada, Barcelona and lots of others.

I highly recommend visiting Dartmouth College Ravine Lodge if you haven’t been there in a while. Absolutely beautiful rebuild.

Go, Edge! Pemi loop in the heat. That's a lot of electrolytes. Should check out the new lodge sometime. Local folks involved in felling and trucking in the main timbers.

I'm posting cuz some of the maples near my house think it's fall.

And the wild apple trees. This one was quite tasty.

Late crop of snappers.

The dogs and I think it's still summer. Swimming every day. The one cold night a couple weeks back felt absolutely frigid.

It's been a while since my last installment in the Craft Beer in Nature series. This is Ranch Brook in Stowe, after a rain storm. One of my favorite places.

Part of Saturday eve's amazing sunset. This is west, but earlier the whole northern sky was glowing. Unusual.

We caught this while driving in Southern Vt on Saturday. We stopped the car to gawk. My photos don't come close to yours.

Thanks guys. Benny, it seems that in order to capture the sunset somewhat closer to how we see it the photo needs to be underexposed, otherwise the color washes out. At least that's what happened in the set I shot.

100 NH photo location points to Stoneman! The berries gave it away? :)

Yesterday on Black mountain. Dogs treed a bear cub. 4th cub we've encountered in the past 2 months. Lots o bears out there. Mature bobcat last week! 40' away. Spoke sternly to the dogs who either got the message not to chase or decided on their own because it wasn't running.
