My schedule has conspired against me all season and I have not been able to make it to any of the demo days to try out new sleds. As a surrogate for actually riding them please provide your opinion of the this season's Black Diamond Havoc.

I'm really interested in this ski and I have a line on some for cheap.

I'd like to build some confidence in my choice before I pull the trigger.

Kevin, I just noticed a Havoc review on the Tele Gear thread.

Keven,

I don't ski them but I can say with confidence that PSIA examiner Jim Tasse swears by them as do a number of other very good skiers that I know. I don't think you will go wrong getting them.

I have been on the 08-09 Havocs for a year now, probably getting close to 80 days on them total. I like them quite a bit. They are fairly stiff which is nice for our conditions in the east. All in all I think they are a great east coast quiver of one, stiff but mid fat, good for firm conditions but offer some float when we do get snow. When carving they definitely prefer medium radius turns, however they are pretty easy to throw them around quickly in the tight trees. They softened up the 09-10 Havocs a little but from what I hear they still ski quite well.
