The lack of snow was shocking. Only Right, Sluice, and the Lip softened enough to ski. Slopes with a hint of N exposure were icy all day. The Lip had several open waterfall holes and crevasses, and the Sluice had a lot of bad looking ice up above. The top 1/4 of Right was melted out, so we took a few laps of the bottom 3/4. The corn was soft and not all that many skiers for a beautiful sunny "spring" day. Not possible to ski from the Bowl to Hermit Lake. None of the Boott Spur gullies had much snow. The Sherburne was incredibly icy, and closed about 3/4 of the way down.
Overall the conditions would have been good for early May.
