Lots of snow in Gulf of Slides, and only about 15 people. The main and overflow parking lots were filled to capacity; must have been a zoo on the other side of Boott Spur. It didn't quite warm up enough to soften the hard surfaces in the gullies, but there was plenty of thin, stable wind slab that skied great. Thick coverage on the trail and all the streams were well bridged.

Sounds like there were a few slides. Did you see anything?

I didn't see any slabs let go in GOS, although there was some minor sloughing in places. We stayed mostly on older surface or thin, well bonded slab. Sounds like there were avalanches on Sunday in the Lower Snowfields, the Bowl, and also Oakes. Writeup here on the other avalanches: http://www.mountwashingtonavalanchecent ... ashington/
