Are closed ski areas considered BC?

From Mt. Washington to Big Jay what's the scoop. BC conditions, trip reports,or a great "hidden gem".

Are closed ski areas considered BC?

Postby raisin'heel » Fri May 12, 2017 11:20 am

I thought I'd check out what was left @ "Jordan Bowl'' (Sunday River) and managed a good afternoon on pretty good sized patches of snow on "Tin Woodsman/Lost Princess" and "Vortex" and posted some photos on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =3&theater

The long abandoned late corny snow is mostly consistent, quite forgiving and handles well!

Nice. When I read this I thought closed was permanently closed, like Hogback. I used to ski Hogback with my friends when I was in college because we could not afford the lift tix at Mt. Snow or Haystack. I can't count how many times we skied down in the dark because we said "1 more" and of course we had no lights
