Cable Tension

Postby mountaingoat » Thu Jan 18, 2018 1:09 pm

I ski on a pair of Nordica Enforcer 100 equipped with Axl bindings and driven with Scarpa T2Xs. The skis are beefy and and stiff, the boots not so much. I have my Axls set up with a pair of stiffy springs with the pin all the way back (in the most aggressive/responsive position). On powder days, I'll move the pin forward to keep my tips floating a little better. I am wondering how others set up their bindings and the perceived costs and benefits of more or less cable tension.

Dittos. I've always moved the pins on my hammerheads forward a bit for powder. I love an active binding but with the pins all the way back it puts a bit more pressure on the tips and they will dive quicker.
The only "normal" people are the ones you don't know.
