This is when I love the fact that I work in academia. Got a call from one of the other professors this morning saying school was canceled, and did I want to go skiing. (thank god since he got me out of bed) So it was off to the river to play in the "powder".
Skiing was pretty good especially on the trails where they had blown snow in the last coupple of days. It was about 1-2" on top of the crust but as long as you were light on your feet all was pretty good. Trees looked tempting but I was there on Sunday and saw what the base was like. (nothing) Looks like they are on the road to recovery however. Now if only the sherbie would get in shape again.
