Just got in from a nice tour outback. Conditions are pretty unique... a few inches of fresh, over a (mostly) unbreakable layer of ice. With water running under the ice, and down the depressions of our trails. I think the ground is frozen, water from all the rain is still runnning open down any depressions and under the crust, but otherwise the cold front came in fast and hard and froze the crust solid enough to seldom break through. Thanks to mother nature for the fresh on top of it all.
