Birthdays

Postby Bern » Fri Dec 08, 2017 11:53 am

So I had one just recently. Thought I was 80 y.o. which I thought of as a milestone of sorts. I mentioned this to my niece in an e-mail and she mentioned it to her father, a man I've known since 4th grade. He told her "He can't be 80. He's a year older than I'm and I was just 78". Math always was my worst subject. Anyway, I find all this out several days later when visiting the family over Thanksgiving. Checking my arithmetic I find, that by golly, I am a mere 79. This was a bit of a disappointment as 79 is a meh sort of age. On the other hand, I get to do 79 over again. But then, If I get to live a year of my life over, I would have preferred 25. That was a great year. I don't remember her name but she was awesome.
