Temperatures on Mount Washington reached a record high of 67 degrees Tuesday, marking the warmest Sept. 26 ever recorded on the New Hampshire summit, and the hottest day of this year.

Mount Washington also broke daily temperature records Sunday and Monday, hitting 65 degrees Sunday and 63 degrees Monday, according to the Mount Washington Observatory.

Sunday and Monday’s records were close calls, beating previous highs by 3 degrees and 1 degree respectively, but Tuesday’s record high blew the old one out of the water.

The 67-degree reading was 8 degrees hotter than the previous record high of 59 degrees in 1961, Mount Washington Observatory meteorologist Adam Gill said.

Tuesday’s high of 67 was also the hottest day on record on Mount Washington so far this year, Gill said.

It's a hoax

Been watching the hobblebush creeping to higher elevations for a couple of decades. Not a surprse that MWO is getting higher readings.
