Biff, I notice a reference to normal people in your post signature. How about Xtranormal people? Here is a video on how that might go.

Greetings summer people. Some photos and updates.

It's been a good summer for rainbows and blueberries. A double blueberry.

Neighbor's snow total journal. (2016-17, cropped out on the upper right is 121.0, btw)

Been trail running a lot this off-season. Saw a bear a few weeks ago and a bobcat last week! Very excited about the cat. That's a first for me.

Kayaking after mini-Irene (1st of July downpours).

You should all read this book if you haven't.

My daughter's college roommate is doing a 70-day bushwhack across Alaska with her partner. No trails. Packraft. 3 food drops. Only the 9th and 10th person to do this and she's the second woman. Real time updates here https://share.garmin.com/JeffAmelia. Current snapshot below. I last saw Amelia when she passed by on an AT through hike a few summer's ago. At that time, northbound, she was cranking 25 mile days.

Alaska vs. Maine for a sense of how insane this is.

What, is it Cannon? There's really only two options. Since the photo came from Teleman, I figured it was Jay. He doesn't leave the Kingdom much.

A little beauty spot at yesterday's high point.

Folks skied this in the 1928 to mid-thirties timeframe. It shows on old maps. Pretty big drop at the stream's horizon. Stream is choked with cross-fallen trees all the way down to the --------- Brook, about 850' vertical drop from here.
