It would be nice if the weather gods threw us a fricking bone, eh? Things are pretty thin hereabouts.

The forecast is bleak here. Starts as snow but goes to freezing rain and then rain.

temps seem low enough - hopefully the mountains will get a foot of base-builder snow.

I'm trying to take this like an adult, but it's not working.

I really don't think that it's too much to ask that if you're willing to live someplace where it's dark and cold for six months, you should at least get a little snow once in a while.

looks like the Maine mountains are getting dumped on this time. Unfortunately it's time to adjust our expectations. The ocean off New England has warmed 10 degrees since the 70's, that's going to have a huge effect on our winter weather.

Wow!

Do you have a citation for this?

I know a few people that need to see that change.

Check Sugarloaf's conditions report. They seem pretty happy about the weather.

The 10 day forecast is at least encouraging right now. Us folks "down south" are slated for a small event mid next week with temps that are, at least, going to be cold enough to make snow.

Let's not forget, the best winter in the last 5 didn't start until the last week of January...
