Just got a pair of BMF-R's. What a killer binding. Nearly true step in, can alpine it, can tele it. Goes into touring mode. With a brake too. Extremely stiff, full percision control. My only complaint, is they currently offer no brake for 90, 100 is the smallest at the moment. Brakes can be rotated easily with 2 screws to a different size.

Any update on the BMF based upon continued usage?

It's a pretty solid frame binding. Does it feel heavy when climbing/traversing?

What boot are you wearing? If 75mm, where is the flex point, still under the ball of the foot? Does the stiffness overwhelm the boot upper flex?
